She steps out into the night of another world and tips her head back to look up at the stars. They look familiar enough, not that she's all that into astronomy.

It's warmer than back in the Triangle, and there's no snow or frost on the ground. Her boots crunch on gravel, instead. The old gas station is near a lonesome crossroads, which is probably where they'll do their business, but her attention is caught first by the sleek black muscle car parked off to the side. She jogs over to the Impala, running her hands almost reverently over its frame. "Who does this sexy beast belong to?"
